Hello there

Welcome to my slow living blog — I hope you find a cozy spot here and stumble upon something useful: something that will make you smile, or simply a few lines where, who knows, you might recognize yourself.

The idea for this blog kept popping up in my head periodically, and I was constantly telling myself “okay, now I’m starting.” I tried to make the perfect layout, to see the final result in my head, to find the exact categories, and not to scatter myself as usually happens. Something just wasn’t clicking, and so a few years gradually passed with me periodically dusting off my ideas and tucking them right back into various drawers, waiting for their time.

This time, however, the idea appeared crystal clear for the very first time, completely sorted out, as if saying, “come on, the time has come, start!”

Life has taught me that everything happens when it’s supposed to happen, and the past few months have taught me that slow living is not just a trendy slogan.

Living slowly doesn’t mean being out of touch with the times, it means finding time for yourself.

Now, as I write this, I realize it’s easy to say but so hard to actually do in our daily lives. We are flooded with information from everywhere, and the constant stress we don’t even realize we live in carries us down a current – where “stop the world, I want to get off” doesn’t even sound funny anymore, but frighteningly real. That’s why slow living is something to be learned and built, just like you would study to become an artist, a gardener, or something like that.

In my blog, you will see two categories where you will find my views on slow life.

In one are my topics of the day, Journal, you will find the things that inspire me, worry me, drive me crazy, or make me happy.

In Strikkekos I will share my passion for wool. It is my weakness. Truly.
I will try to tell and show my experience, and the secret goal is someday to be able to make a modest library of most wool yarns – how each one behaves, what its characteristics are, and what to expect during the process of knitting.

the yarn journey

It’s nothing new or never seen before, but then I think about how much I needed such a place during my first steps in knitting. Grab your favourite cup of coffee, look around, and have a nice stay. 😊
